Today JKD is a closely guarded art, available to a select few who are keen to learn specifically Bruce Lees art. JKD is not commercially advertised.

HOLISTIC- FITNESS, COMBAT & SPIRITUALITY:

JKD is meant for adults upto 60 years. Its meant for one who seeks holistic growth. Bruce believed that each man trains at his own pace. That art training has to be tailormade to the individual. That anyone, young or old, man or woman, fit or unfit can learn at his own pace. That JKD has to be taught personally one on one to a student group less than ten in number. The course can be pursued at your own pace- as fast as two months or as slow as six months.

The majority of submission holds can be grouped into two broad categories: joint locks and chokes. Joint locks typically involve isolating an opponent's limb to force the joint to move beyond its normal range of motion and signals defeat by submitting.

FAKE & TRUE JKD:

There are MANY JKD fake Instructors in the world & in India. They all claim to be certified by Original students of Bruce Lee yet don’t have any certificate to display. They have never trained under any of the original students who learnt JKD from Li fifty years ago. In this art, there are no JKD competitions, JKD Belts, JKD uniforms or no JKD Katas (forms). Yet the quack instructors hold competitions, award belts & train in uniforms performing Katas.
